I have two children, and two wonderful grandsons! I am currently in sales full-time and was an Adjunct Math Instructor at a local community college. I love the classroom! I grew up as a Baptist Pastor's Kid in a strict, legalistic, separated from the world, KJV only, literal interpretation of the Bible. Being a witness and testimony was prominent, and church took priority over every aspect of my life. I was licensed to preach by Adams City Baptist Church in 1985; attended Faith Baptist Bible college in their Pastorology program before switching my major to Secondary Education, Math. Graduated with a Bachelors Degree with a double major in Secondary Ed, Math and Bible from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in 1995. I have taught Algebra through AP Calculus, and Bible in private Christian schools, have also taught math in public high schools, and currently enjoy teaching math to college students. Additionally, I owned and operated Mountain Creek Tutoring Services for 8 years. On days off, I enjoy discovering new trails to hike (or at least think about walking them for a few feet before panting overwhelms me), taking pictures of nature, reading, and writing this blog! This blog is my way of healing from the damage that both fundamentalism and 'Christians' have inflicted upon my soul.
